Mission of Sound Connexiones

The five-fold mission of Sound Connexiones Music Therapy (SCMTS) is

i) to provide educational initiatives to promote music therapy as a viable professional discipline;

ii) to provide quality and research-based clinical music therapy programming for medical and rehabilitative populations, including patients with cancer and other chronic illnesses.

iii) to make multicultural music therapy services accessible to those who need music interventions in a therapeutic context for healing and wellness, and to support their life journey, as well as assist their care-givers with resources;

iv) to research the use of music in medicine, rehabilitation, health and wellness; and to make research assessable and applicable in various local medical contexts, and

v) dedicated to the scientifc method of applying music interventions to improve the quality of life of Singaporeans.

Sound Connexiones (SCMTS) is the premiere medical Music Therapy provider in Singapore. Set up in 2007 by a board-certified music therapist, Sound Connexiones seeks to provide research-based music therapy experiences, utilizing broad-based philosophical approaches and integrative, holistic methods.
