Prenatal Programming An innovative prenatal childbirth education model that uses music to support pregnancy, labour and delivery, and birthing. Classes are offered at community centers. Please refer to calendar for programs. See MT Facilitated Childbirthing Programming.

NICU Music Therapy is extensively modeled after Dr. Jayne Standley's model program with premature infants at Florida State University and Tallahasee Memorial Healthcare. Music therapy in the NICU supports weight gain from non-nutritive sucking. Research supports that infants who received NICU music therapy spent less days in the hospital. Music facilitated multimodal stimulation may help premature infants to tolerate a variety of stimuli and bond with parents. This is balanced with a calming musical environment that encourages sedative rest so neurological wiring can be maximized.
